Battle Slimes Build A Shop: Moonlighter
Moonlighter is one of the most unfairly overlooked games of 2019, and thankfully it’s now free to try, so you no longer have an excuse! Moonlighter is a cute Zelda-like game where you fight your way through randomly-generated dungeons, acquiring materials to sell in your very own shop. It’s cute, addictive, and awesome.
The Elder Scrolls : Skyrim Special Edition
The Elder Scrolls 5, better known as just Skyrim, is a classic. And while you can play it on almost any console or device known to humankind at this point, its still worth playing on Game Pass if youve never given it a chance, or are just craving another journey in its sprawling world.
Like most Bethesda RPGs, Skyrim is a first-person game with a giant, living world. There are dungeons to crawl, stories to uncover, and a variety of guilds to join. But you can also go off the beaten path and discover your own fun in Skyrim it rewards you for being curious. Its the kind of Game Pass game that you can play for hundreds of hours and never get bored.

There’s something wonderful about Super Lucky’s Tale, a game that only really wants to be a beautiful old-fashioned 3D platformer that the whole family can have a go at. The cartoon worlds you visit are filled with invention and colour and simple pleasures, and the bosses keep things moving forward at a nice pace. Lucky’s one of those mascots who never really had his moment, but playing this – or the VR original – is a reminder that craft and good intentions offer many delights.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition
The Mass Effect franchise was gigantic for the Xbox 360 era, but it didnt transfer to future platforms well purchasing and downloading the entire story became confusing and expensive when moving to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X. But 2021s Legendary Editionfinally made the entire Mass Effect trilogy accessible in one package.
The story follows Commander Shepard, a futuristic military hero, whos tasked with gathering a collection of alien misfits for a variety of missions. Each game is wonderfully crafted, with stand-alone stories and breakout characters that dont rely on the series wider narrative. As a trilogy, the games build on each other with meaningful choices that carry over to the next entry, giving weight to your choices.
The Legendary Edition is the way to experience Mass Effect, and its a must-play whether youre on your first run to save the galaxy or your fifth.

- File Size: 39 GB
Let’s get this out of the way: Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a perfect jumping-off point for anyone new to the Yakuza series. It’s a whole new cast of characters in a whole new area. Yes, there are nods to the rest of the franchise, but there’s nothing to hamper newcomers’ enjoyment. Unlike the rest of the Yakuza games, Like a Dragon is a JRPG in the vein of Dragon Quest or classic Final Fantasycomplete with a party of loveable characters on a noble quest. What fans of the genre won’t be expecting is how well these tropes translate to a modern-day crime drama about found family. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is fun, funny, and an absolute joy to play through. Don’t miss it!

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Platforms: Xbox, PC
In the madcap world of Japanese visual novels, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is one of the very best.
Each attendee of the prestigious Hopes Peak Academy is known throughout the world as the Ultimate practitioner of their chosen profession, but when theyre trapped in the school by the terrible teddy bear Monokuma, their only chance of escape is to murder one of their classmates – and get away with it.
Bursting with iconic characters, quotable lines, and an off-beat soundtrack thats stickier than super glue, the whole Danganronpa series is well worth your attention.
Star Wars Battlefront Ii
Yes, Star Wars Battlefront 2 launched as a mess, and it may never recover from the stink of the microtransaction-laden progression that was infamously pulled hours before launch. Thankfully, though the Battlefront 2 of 2021 is a much better game, and more complete, too.
In the four years since launch, EA and DICE have added Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker content, Clone Wars updates, and even content from Solo . Its essentially a Star Wars toybox, and theres never been a better time to jump in.

Dragon Quest 1: Echoes Of An Elusive Age
Dragon Quest 11 is one of the best entries in the long-running Square Enix series. Its a traditional JRPG through and through, with turn-based battles and an epic save-the-world story starring an unlikely hero. While Dragon Quest 11 doesnt necessarily take any big risks, its a masterpiece within a genre that isnt nearly as prevalent as it once was. That alone makes Dragon Quest 11 a wonderful game for those who yearn for JRPGs similar to those from the late ’90s and early 2000s. With a colorful art design, brilliant turn-based gameplay, and a large world inhabited by interesting characters, Dragon Quest 11 is immensely satisfying and dutifully scratches the JRPG itch.
Oblivion Skyrim The Fallout Games And Every Other Bethesda Game
Platforms: Xbox, PC
If youve never played them, then Ill let you into something of an open secret: Bethesda RPGs are a little bit good.
Whether its the high fantasy world of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, the quirky post-nuclear wasteland of Fallout, or the whale-oil-punk Victoriandustrial cityscapes of Dishonored, pretty much everything on offer from Bethesda absolutely rules.
And thats to say nothing of the more shooter-focussed side of things – DOOM and Wolfenstein are also both excellent – as well as the underrated sci-fi immersive-sim, Prey, which has one of the best opening sequences around.
On PC, you also get access to some of the pre-Bethesda entries into series they later acquired. Of these, Fallout 1 and 2 come highly recommended if youre interested in exploring the franchise lore – but be aware, they are very unforgiving by modern standards.
Plus, there’s the tantalizing prospect of the eventual Elder Scrolls 6 on the horizon as well.
For the sake of space, yes these all count as one on the list.

Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition
Enchanting and utterly engrossing, Hollow Knight is one of the best metroidvanias ever made. Team Cherrys adventure stars a nameless knight armed with a nail who explores a labyrinthine world known as Hallownest. With a gorgeous art style and an incredible amount of variation in the environments, Hollow Knights expansive world is a constant joy to explore. Challenging combat rewards those with patience and perseverance. Hollow Knight truly stands out in a fairly crowded genre. If you havent waded through Hallownest yet, nows a great time to slay some insect ahead of the sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Nier: Automata: Become As Gods Edition
Nier: Automata is the weirdest game on this list, but thats what makes it a must-play. It masquerades as an anime action game in a post-apocalyptic world. And while it very much is an anime action game in a post-apocalyptic world, its got a ton of interesting mechanics and storytelling techniques boiling beneath its surface.
Automata is an existential meditation on consciousness and purpose. Its got charm and darkness. There are goofy, singing robots and brutal destruction. And it all unfolds over multiple playthroughs of a similar campaign. Each replay offers new details and missions to uncover, and it all plays into a larger mystery.
Its game director Yoko Taros magnum opus, and its not to be missed.

The Best Games On Xbox Game Pass Right Now
The agony of choice.
Subscription-based games services have become a go-to trend for publishers over the past few years. Some of the titans of gaming, like EA and Ubisoft, now offer access to their entire catalog to gamers for a monthly fee.
One of the widely recognized iterations of this service with one of the largest collections of games is Microsofts Game Pass service. Game Pass can be used on either console or PC with the Xbox Games Pass and the PC Game Pass, or players can get both by getting the Ultimate Game Pass combo.
Following Microsofts acquisition of Zenimax Media in March 2021, Game Pass was supplemented with a massive influx of popular titles from studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, id Software, and Arkane Studios. Microsoft has also partnered with EA to bring the basic version of EA Play to Game Pass for free to Ultimate subscribers.
Naturally, this growth has led to Game Pass collecting a massive number of titles over the past two years. Here are just some of the best games on the Xbox Game Pass service that you can play right now.
Resident Evil : Biohazard
- X|S Enhanced: No
- File Size: 22 GB
In a marvelous return to form, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard terrifies players with a mix of hideous creatures to contend with and tense moments of resource management. Rather than buckling down with the more action-oriented setpieces of its predecessors, Biohazard grounds players in a single location for the majority of the game. As Ethan Winters, you must navigate your way through the peril-riddled and decrepit Baker house in search of your missing wife, Mia. The games switch to first-person perspective from the Resident Evil franchises typical third-person viewpoint is a gamble that pays off as players now have to deal with monsters face-to-face, in a very literal sense.

Pc Game Pass Games List
Which titles can you find on the PC Game Pass games list? Since its launch in beta, when it was given the rather unwieldy Xbox Game Pass for PC name, the subscription service has grown exponentially, quickly surpassing 100 games to which subscribed players have access.
It’s a pretty good deal too, PC Game Pass giving you access to its entire library for a flat monthly payment. While that won’t scratch the itch of people who want to own the games they play, it remains a cheaper alternative to try out titles you really want to check out but can’t afford or aren’t sure you’d enjoy as much as you think.
Xbox Games Pass on PC exited beta on September 17, 2020 which was when its monthly price increased to $9.99 and the cheaper first-month option went away.
In December 2021, during The Game Awards, Microsoft announced that it was rebranding the subscription service, which now goes by the much clearer and snappier name of PC Game Pass.
The full list of PC Game Pass games covers the whole palette of genres, meaning that you’re bound to find something to suit your taste. Here are all the titles currently available:

What Remains Of Edith Finch
There are few games that are as atmospheric as What Remains of Edith Finch, a tale of the last surviving member of the Finch family. Edith returns home to explore the family estate, with each of the Finch family having passed away in mysterious or tragic circumstances.
Piecing together her familys history through playable vignettes, What Remains of Edith Finch is touching, but more than a little dour. Still, it leaves an indelible message about life and death thats hard to forget.
Jade Empire: Special Edition
Bioware may be best known for Mass Effect and Dragon Age these days , but back in 2005, it released this mystical, martial arts-themed RPG. Leaning on systems built for Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire weaves Biowares signature storytelling through a world inspired by Chinese mythology and with real-time combat.
If youve played KOTOR and the studios later franchises, then Jade Empire is a piece of RPG history youll want to check out.
