Xbox Game Pass Kingdom Hearts

Two Kingdom Hearts Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass

NEW Xbox Game Pass Update | Kingdom Hearts 3, Yakuza 0 MORE

Xbox Game Pass giveth and it also taketh away. After getting a slew of new titles just a few days back, we now know whatll ultimately be leaving Game Pass by the end of May. Sadly, it appears a few Kingdom Hearts games are on the chopping block.

According to Microsoft, the console side of Game Pass will see Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue exit once May wraps up. Joining those games will be Void Bastards, Surviving Mars, and Assetto Corsa.

Void Bastards and Surviving Mars will presumably be leaving Xbox Cloud Gaming as well.

Over on PC, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be losing Broforce, along with Void Bastards and Surviving Mars.

Its always sad to see some games disappear from Game Pass, especially if they were on your to-do list and you never got around to playing them. One bright spot, at least, is that Kingdom Hearts 3 appears to be sticking around. So if you dont mind skipping those other two games, thatll still be in the library.

If youre dead set on playing the series in order, however, you now have roughly two weeks to get through 1.5+2.5 ReMIX and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Or you could just wait for them to go on sale again. The choice is yours.

Xbox Game Pass May Update: Conan Exiles And Maneater Added Kingdom Hearts Leaves

Titles come and go from Xbox Game Pass every month, and May is no exception. This time, however, it’s hard to shake the feeling that the stuff we’re losing is a little more substantial than the stuff we’re getting in return even though we’ll have at least one brand-new title before the month is out. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect to see cult favorites Conan Exiles and Maneater before by the end of May, as well as the brand-new competitive multiplayer title Knockout City. But this is also their last chance to play the expansive Kingdom Hearts series.

Information comes from the official Xbox Wire blog, where community lead Megan Spurr outlined 15 new games coming to Xbox Game Pass, as well as seven games receiving touch control support, five games with new DLC packs, four games with new perks, two games with new Xbox Game Pass quests and six games leaving the service.

Arguably the biggest news here is that Xbox Game Pass will no longer host the Kingdom Hearts series. For years, fans have been able to play the confusingly named Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, as well as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Without going into the extremely convoluted history of Kingdom Hearts, these remasters include the bulk of the Kingdom Hearts series, save for Kingdom Hearts III and a few handheld spinoffs.

Xbox Game Pass Leak Reveals Big Game Is Coming Soon

Xbox Game Pass recibe títulos de Kingdom Hearts

A new leak has seemingly revealed a big game coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. More specifically, according to the official Xbox Game Pass website, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Chapter Prologue will be on Xbox Game Pass soon, or at least the Xbox One version of the service. In fact, the website actually says the game is already available on the Xbox One version of the service, but, at the moment of publishing, it doesn’t appear this is the case.

That said, while the game may not be available on Xbox Game Pass yet, this will presumably change over the next few days if it’s already been added to the official website. Typically, new Xbox Game Pass additions are held for weekdays, so it’s unlikely we will hear more about this during the weekend, but this could change come Monday or Tuesday.

Of course, for now, all of this information should be taken with a grain of salt for the simple reason that nothing here is official. Further, everything is subject to change. However, as you can see, the evidence is pretty damning at this point.

Why Are All Kingdom Hearts Games Not In Xbox Game Pass

No Man’s Sky, Kingdom Hearts MORE Added | Xbox Game Pass Update June 2020

This is the first time in the series’ history that all of Kingdom Hearts will be playable on Xbox One. As such, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue just launched on Xbox One on February 18, 2020. Square Enix likely wants to make as much money as possible and is selling them at normal retail prices.

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been on Xbox One for over a year, so that’s probably why it was placed into Xbox Game Pass. This also gives players with Xbox Game Pass an incentive to try it out and then purchase the remaining games.

Xbox Game Pass Losing Two Kingdom Hearts Games

Xbox Game Pass has announced a number of new games coming to the system this month, but it comes at a cost, as several games are also slated to leave the service soon. Unfortunately for Kingdom Hearts fans, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will both leave Game Pass on May 31st. Subscribers will still be able to check out Kingdom Hearts III after that date, but the rest of the series will no longer be available. The two compilations feature entire games, as well as HD remastered cinematics for others. The naming conventions for both compilations can be a bit daunting, but the two basically comprise everything that’s been offered for the series prior to KH III.

While the news is sure to disappoint some Kingdom Hearts fans, this is merely a reality of the subscription service era: titles are frequently rotated in and out as licenses expire. and Microsoft seem to be on good terms, as Game Pass saw the addition of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster this month, and earlier this year. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue eventually return after a bit of a break!
