Star Wars: Battlefront Ii
Developer: DICEPublisher: Electronic Arts
Throw a ton of Star Wars characters on a battlefield, and you already have the promise of a popular game. Make it multiplayer, and things only improve from there. But if you toss in steep microtransactions or pay-to-win mechanics, youll lose your player base entirely. That was the mistake EA learned with Battlefront II, the Star Wars game with the most tumultuous launch.
Though the game is mechanically sound, and players enjoyed the gameplay and large-scale battles, EA nearly tanked the game with costly loot boxes that unlocked advantageous perks. Once EA removed the microtransactions and DICE started churning out content, Battlefront II was mostly saved.
And as a multiplayer Star Wars game on Game Pass, its absolutely worth playing.
Developer: Overkill SoftwarePublisher: 505 Games
It may seem like Rockstars Grand Theft Auto Online has the corner market on multiplayer heists. But thats only because you havent laid your eyes on Overkills Payday 2, a multiplayer shooter thats been sending players deep into bank vaults for just as long as Grand Theft Auto V.
Payday 2 sends up to four players on high-stakes heists at banks, motels, apartment complexes, jewelry stores, and more. Depending on personal preference and mission requirements, players can keep inconspicuous or go in guns blazing. While the game modes can get repetitive after a few playthroughs, the substantial character customization is where Payday 2 shines the most.

Can You Use The Same Game Pass On Xbox And Pc
According to the company, the reason Game Pass was introduced so quickly is that all subscription plans had one subscription, but you didnt have one specific console. Consequently, you can use your Game Pass on any device running Windows Phone 7, Linux, or Android OS. It is true that it works across various devices, in that sense.

Supports: 4-player local and online multiplayer
Overcooked: All You Can Eat compiles two stellar cooking games in one awesome package. Played from a top-down perspective, Overcooked is a frantic cooking sim that demands quick wits and the ability to stay calm in the kitchen. Each level asks you and up to three friends to prepare dishes for hungry patrons. Sounds simple enough, right? Not quite. You only have a short amount of time to make your meals, and the kitchens themselves are dynamically designed to produce mayhem. The Elder Scrolls : Skyrim
Few RPGs have ever garnered the fervor of Skyrim. Despite a buggy launch, especially for PS3 players, the game has withstood the test of time for its impeccable sense of a real, lived-in world. Whether it’s your first time arriving in the chillier region of Tamriel or you’re loading up a saved game with hundreds of hours poured in, it’s interesting to revisit the game, now almost a decade old, and see how it still holds up in most ways.
Five Nights At Freddy’s
Five Nights at Freddy’s is one of the scariest independent horror video games ever made. Or, at least one of the most popular. A huge deal in 2014, Five Nights at Freddy’s gained considerable popularity owing to popular streamers like PewDiePie.
The popularity of those videos in turn resulted in the popularity of the game itself, and people realized firsthand just how frightening it could be. While certainly a product of its time, Five Nights at Freddy’s is a must-play for its historic place in the horror canon.

Space Opera: Destiny 2
Destiny 2 is a popular first-person online shooter, with co-op events for between 3 and 6 friends. In Destiny, you play as a super-human Guardian, who channels a mystical energy to defend the remnants of humanity from encroaching aliens, trans-dimensional beings, and angry robots. The game features an infectious loot-driven progression system, which lets players build up their champions to fit unique playstyles.
Destiny : Beyond Light
Bungie was the original studio behind Halo: Combat Evolved or the first Halo game. Their updates to Destiny 2 have been met with some mixed responses. The game is now free for everyone, but the newest expansion is not. At least, it isn’t free for people who don’t have Xbox Game Pass.
This is a huge win for Microsoft. Now that the game sort of rebooted itself with this expansion, it’s as good a time as any to jump back in or start fresh. Get two friends together and have a blast. For even more co-op action, consider giving multiplayer a try.

Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition
This selection will be a little out there for many but stick with us. Warhammer: Chaosbane is a brilliant ARPG much like Diablo or Path of Exile. The Slayer Edition offers a souped-up version specifically for the Xbox Series X, adding all additional content, as well as 4K visuals.
You and a friend can select from a variety of classes familiar to the Warhammer universe and start ploughing through waves of enemies like a hot knife through butter. Its mindless fun that offers a kick of adrenaline every so often as encounters become increasingly more difficult.
While there is a story in play here, there is no prior knowledge of the Warhammer universe needed and everything is laid out in simple terms. This allows you to enjoy it as a generic fantasy ARPG with fun and engaging combat.
And One To Avoid Lawn Mowing Simulator
Okay, maybe avoid is a little harsh, but Lawn Mowing Simulator definitely isn’t the most fun game that you can play on Xbox right now.
We have nothing against simulator games but we think, given the power of the Xbox Series X, there are better games to stretch the legs of the console.
Plus, there are so many others to choose from we’re not sure why you’d want to virtually mow lawns. After all, it’s now coming back into gardening season so you’ll likely be mowing your real lawn before too long anyway.

Team17s take on digital golf is less PGA and more casual putt-putt, but therein lies its intrinsic charm. Golf With Your Friends is a party game at its heart, featuring easy-to-learn controls and mechanics. That said, the skill ceiling is impressively high the courses themselves are fantastically designed and can grow remarkably difficult, with hazards ranging from conventional sand traps to gravity-warping black holes as you putt-putt your way through an orbital space station. Sure, its technically a competitive experience, but the game quickly devolves into more of a how are we going to get through this mentality while navigating the increasingly complex courses. Note that the local multiplayer implements a hotseat style of play, necessitating only a single controller to enjoy.
