Don’t Have Xbox Game Pass Here’s Why You Should Get It
When it comes to Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, you have three choices: Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
All these subscriptions pack in Xbox Live Gold , access to first-party Xbox releases on day one , discounts and deals on the Microsoft store plus access to the ever-growing Xbox Game Pass library . However, while Xbox Game Pass requires picking either console or PC, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate works across both and also allows access to Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The biggest draw of an Xbox Game Pass subscription is the ability to access the heaving Game Pass library, which includes a variety of titles from Xbox 360 games to the latest Xbox exclusives with new games constantly being added to it. The most enticing part of this library? New Xbox first-party titles, like Halo Infinite, land on it on day one.
That makes it fantastic value, as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate yearly subscription is around £139.99 / $194.59 and an Xbox Game Pass subscription works out around £96 / $120 a year, while a new Xbox first-party release on its own costs around $60/£50.
So, for the price of a yearly subscription, you would feasibly only be able to pick up two new first-party Xbox games. But with the subscription, you get plenty of games for your money as well as the ability to play them on mobile devices if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate .

Throwing 2XP Boosts and Challenge Swaps into a bundle highlights once again the unpopular progression system that 343 Industries and Microsoft have baked into the game. Already, 343 has adjusted the challenges and rewards that it hands out as they make quick fixes before reconsidering the system more generally. Earlier this week they dramatically increased the XP handed out for the first six matches you play each day, which follows on from reducing some of the requirements of Weekly Challenges in the days after the multiplayers release.
343 Industries are expected to make bigger changes to Halo Infinites progression.
We published out review of Halo Infinites multiplayer yesterday it might be branded a beta right now, but this is the full multiplayer game, transactions, maps, modes and all. In it we were rather critical of the progression and other elements that have been wrapped around the sublime gameplay at its core:
Halo Infinites multiplayer is a fantastic showcase of just how brilliant Halo can be, its fundamental gameplay and the mix of small and larger-scale modes a joy to play. Its just a shame that so much of that is being clouded by the dismal battle pass, paid cosmetics and unsatisfying progression. Halo Infinite multiplayer is a must-play for shooter fans, but its monetisation needs to change if its going to survive in the long run.

Is Halo Infinite Free
If youre wondering whether Halo Infinite is free, the answer to that question is slightly convoluted, but were going to try and explain it as simply as we can. Basically, the answer is different depending on whether you want to play the Halo Infinite multiplayer mode or the story-driven campaign.
The Halo Infinite multiplayer modes are totally free to play, and you dont even need an Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live subscription to jump into those online player-versus-player battles.
The Halo Infinite campaign is not free, on the other hand, but it is available at no extra cost to members of the Xbox Game Pass club. To a lot of players, that will be a more appealing option than paying full-price for the game.

Nier: Automata: Become As Gods Edition
Nier: Automata is the weirdest game on this list, but thats what makes it a must-play. It masquerades as an anime action game in a post-apocalyptic world. And while it very much is an anime action game in a post-apocalyptic world, its got a ton of interesting mechanics and storytelling techniques boiling beneath its surface.
Automata is an existential meditation on consciousness and purpose. Its got charm and darkness. There are goofy, singing robots and brutal destruction. And it all unfolds over multiple playthroughs of a similar campaign. Each replay offers new details and missions to uncover, and it all plays into a larger mystery.
Its game director Yoko Taros magnum opus, and its not to be missed.
Why Pick Up Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Following its unveiling earlier this year, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is poised for a Windows 10 and Steam debut in 2019. Marking the full series’ PC debut, its arrival should deliver a renewed potential for the first-person shooter. While kicking off its rollout with 2010’s Halo: Reach, the first four mainline games and Halo 3: ODST will follow over the months ahead. From iconic campaign experiences to the full multiplayer suite, there’s fun for both Halo veterans and newcomers.
Although Halo: The Master Chief Collection isn’t set to hit PC, it first released on Xbox One back in 2014. Recently upgraded 4K HDR visuals, alongside 60 FPS gameplay, it’s the best way to experience Halo so far. If you can’t wait for PC, it’s a high-value package for all.

What Are Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks can best be described as free downloadable content provided by Microsoft as a reward for those who subscribe to the service. These Perks can take the form of in-game items like player costumes, weapon skins, playable characters, or even in-game currency that can be used to purchase content from the in-game stores.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks aren’t just for video games they also apply to third-party apps. For example, some Perks can grant you temporary free access to the premium features of a third-party app like Discord or Spotify, which generally require you to pay a separate monthly fee to access.
There are some caveats when obtaining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks. For starters, the Perks are only available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If you only have a free or an Xbox Live Gold account or are only subscribed to Game Pass PC or Game Pass Console, you will need to upgrade it to an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account to claim the Perks.
Secondly, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks are available for a limited time, so you will need to claim the Perks before the time limit on them expires. Once you have claimed a Perk, you then receive a grace period where you must redeem the Perk’s code before the appointed deadline. And thirdly, you will need to own the game or app the Perks are associated with before you can use them.
