You Can Secretly Play Over 20 Unlisted Games On Xbox Game Pass For Pc
Xbox Game Pass for PC is an awkward, beautiful beast. It consistently manages to impress me with its ever-growing games line-up, while at the same time baffling me with its obscure user experience.
Take the EA Play integration, for instance, which gives you access to dozens of games from EA’s subscription service. Not only can you not search for specific EA games within Xbox Game Pass for PC, but I recently discovered that there are actually over 20 EA Play games not listed at all in the Xbox app that youcan play with an Xbox Game Pass PC subscription.
To play one of these games, you need to sign into the EA Play or Origin app, then simply type the game name into the search box and download it .
It’s a pretty good bunch too! The headliner has to be Crysis Remastered, which came out last year, but among them you’ll also find Worms W.M.D as well as the greatest Battlefield game, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 .
There’s also a solid selection of indie titles including Superhot, Trine 2, The Sexy Brutale, and even something for the videogame historians in the form of Ultima Underworld 1 and 2.
Having trawled through the EA Play catalogue, here are all the EA Play games not listed in the Xbox app that Game Pass subscribers can play:
- Ultima Underworld 2
- Worms W.M.D.
This list might quietly grow too, so be sure to check into the EA Play app, then set the filter to only show EA Play membership games to see if any new surprises pop up.
You Can Now Stream Xbox Series X/s Games To Your Pc
The Xbox app on PC just got much more useful. You can now use it to stream games from your Xbox Series X/S. In addition, the app can now stream all of the console titles available through the cloud on Xbox Game Pass.
This is the first time Microsoft has enabled remote play on PC for Xbox Series X/S folks have been able to stream Xbox One games to PC since 2015. The company says it has improved the feature’s stability and added features such as being able to stream games from consoles in 1080p at up to 60 frames per second and play some original Xbox and Xbox 360 games.
Microsoft noted that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers in 22 countries can now play console titles through the cloud on Windows 10 PCs. As long as you have a membership, compatible controller and a sturdy enough internet connection, all you need to do is hit the Cloud Gaming button in the Xbox app and you’ll be able to stream console and PC games and play either by yourself or with friends.
The update marks another step forward in Microsoft’s goal of bringing cloud gaming to as many devices as possible. Last month, the company said it would enable cloud gaming on Xbox consoles this holiday season. Game Pass subscribers have been able to stream games from the cloud via web browsers since June.
How To Stream Xbox One To Pc
The second, and final, step in streaming an Xbox One to a PC requires the Windows 10 Xbox app. You can if it’s not already installed on your computer.
The Xbox app is used to initiate streaming:
Make sure your Xbox One is turned on.
Launch the Windows 10 Xbox app.
Select the Xbox One icon on the left.
Locate your Xbox One in the list, then select Connect.
This step is only done once. If your Xbox doesn’t show up in the list, verify that it is turned on. If it is, and you still don’t see it on the list, you will need to find your Xbox One’s IP address and enter it manually.
This will initiate the stream. If nothing happens, select Test streaming to see what the problem is.
After this initial setup has been completed, streaming in the future is even easier. Just launch the Windows 10 Xbox app, select the Xbox One icon on the left, then select Stream.
If the Xbox One is off, you will first need to select Turn on.

Connect Windows 10 To Your Xbox
The Xbox Console Companion app should already be installed in Windows 10. If not, get it from Microsoft. You should also have a controller already connected.
To stream the Xbox One to Windows 10, your PC needs to meet these minimum requirements:
- CPU: Dual-core or better at 1.5GHz or greater.
- RAM: 4GB or more.
- Network: Wired, or 802.11n or newer.
Step 1: Sign in to your Microsoft Account.
Step 2: Select Connection listed on the left.
Step 3: Click Add a Device toward the top of the app.
Step 4: The app searches for an Xbox console on the local network. Select the console to move on. If it doesnt appear, enter the consoles IP address and click the Connect button. You can find the address by following this path on the console: Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings
Step 5: Click the Connect button next to your listed console.
Step 6: With the two devices paired, click the Stream button located above your console. You may want to click Test Streaming first to see if there are any issues before jumping into a game.
Streaming To An Apple Device
Believe it or not, its possible to stream an Xbox One to a Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Apple TV. Called OneCast, this third-party paid app ranges in price from $10 to $20, depending on the platform.
Once installed, just select Register Xbox One, and it scans the local network for the console. After that, simply sign in to your Microsoft Account, and the app connects to the console. Pair a Bluetooth Xbox One controller or a wired version, and youre good to go.
Currently, Microsofts Xbox Streaming Service does not support Apple devices.

Launching Games From The Xbox App
Once you’re streaming, you can launch games and apps from the Xbox One dashboard. The display that you would normally see on your television will still appear on the television, but it will also be mirrored on your PC monitor, tablet, or laptop screen. This allows you to navigate the Xbox dashboard, and launch games, as you normally would.
If you prefer to launch a game directly from your PC to get right into the action, that’s also an option.
Launch the Xbox app.
This will automatically connect to the console and start streaming if everything is set up correctly.
Fix Lag On A Wireless Network
As you play on your PC, there may be some lag depending on your Wi-Fi network speeds. One way to speed up a choppy stream is to use Ethernet instead, if thats an option. You can also use the Xbox Console Companion app to tweak the fidelity of the stream, resulting in a faster-moving picture, although at the expense of image quality.
- To access the drop-down menu, hit the menu button on the top-right part of the display, near the full-screen button.
- If you want to look at the granular details of the stream, like bit rate, bandwidth use, and more, click the button that appears near the bottom left part of the screen.
I dont use the Xbox Console Companion app on my PC too often, but it comes in handy when I want to play Xbox at the same time that others prefer to watch something else on the TV. Its particularly useful for slow-paced games where the speed of your inputs doesnt come into play, but I found it to be sufficient for games like Asuras Wrath, which relies on quickly completing events to make progress.

What Is An Emulator And How Does It Work
The emulator is a term in computing that refers directly to software/hardware that makes one computer system behave like another computer system by developing a host and guest relationship. It typically enables the host system to run the software that is most commonly designed for the guest system.
The emulators are most commonly used to play video games and to run various operating programs. This lets you enjoy your favorite video games of one system on another like in this case, you want to play Xbox games on the Windows PC system.
So, keeping these functions of emulators in view, it is likely that they play a very important role in letting you make your Gaming PC a host to play the Xbox games, which is referred to as host when talking in computing terms.
Streaming To Windows 10
Windows 10 has a built-in feature that allows you to stream an Xbox One console to a Windows 10 PC. This is done through the Xbox Console Companion app for now. Microsoft plans to move everything over to the new Xbox app, although it strictly deals with Xbox Game Pass at the time of writing.
Note that streaming only works with Xbox One consoles, not Xbox Series consoles. If you picked up an Xbox Series X or Series S and were hoping to stream to your PC, youre sorely out of luck. These consoles still support streaming to mobile, though, like the Xbox One.
