Halo Infinite Xbox Series X (Limited Edition) Unboxing IGN First

The Halo Infinite Xbox Series X Limited Edition console looks beautiful, but it might be difficult to pre-order one through official outlets.

In celebration of Halos upcoming 20th anniversary , Microsoft has announced that theyre releasing a limited edition Halo-themed Xbox Series X console as well as a special Halo-themed Xbox Series X controller.

While the controller is amazing, its the Xbox Series X thats the real prize here. Not only does it look incredible , but given how hard it is to currently find an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, any opportunity to purchase a next-gen console is more valuable than ever at the moment.

So while you shouldnt get your hopes up when it comes to actually being able to grab one at retail prices, heres what you need to know about pre-ordering the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X Limited Edition console:

What appears to be the first unboxing video for the Xbox Series XHalo Infinite Limited Edition bundle has been published online.

The first ever limited edition Xbox Series X console officially launches on November 15 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original Halos release.

But at least one fan already has access to the Halo console, which they show off in the unofficial unboxing video below. Like many previous limited edition Xbox consoles, the Halo one includes a unique boot sound which can be heard at the end of the video.

Priced at $549.99 / £479.99, the consoles design was inspired by the Halo universe and its wrapped with dark metallic panelling with an iridium gold accent.

Microsoft started taking pre-orders at selected retailers in August, but the initial batch was quickly snapped up and scalpers looking to cash in on demand for the product started listing it on eBay for massively inflated prices.

The bundle comes with a downloadable copy of Halo Infinite, which will be redeemable when the game is released on December 8.

Xbox 3: Star Wars Limited Edition

Did you know: There was a Star Wars game for Kinect. And to celebrate its release, Microsoft went to the effort of making a limited edition Star Wars Xbox 360. The console itself is decorated in white and blue, resembling the markings of everyones favourite droid, R2-D2. The controller, on the other hand, is gaudy and gold presumably to represent his pal, C3PO. We love the console, the controller not so much. Sorry, C3PO.

Where To Buy Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition

Xbox Series X Halo Infinite restock could drop at any moment now that Black Friday deals season is here. Back in August, Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition console, which has been near-impossible to buy.

Made to celebrate both the release of Halo Infinite, as well as the 20 year anniversary of the Halo franchise, this special edition machine is sure to become a collector’s item in the future.

Unfortunately, it’s already attracted the attention of unscrupulous scalpers who are snapping up the limited stock to resell with a sizeable mark-up. At Tom’s Guide, we detest scalping, which is why we’re here to help you score a unit for a fair price.

While limited edition is often used a more of a marketing buzzword than a statement of fact. However, considering the standard Xbox Series X remains extremely hard to find in stock, we weren’t surprised to see retailers almost instantly sell out of pre-orders when initial waves opened up in September.

It’s been confirmed that more stock is on the way and we’re eagerly waiting to see which major retailers will have restock. Currently, no drops have been confirmed, but we still recommend keeping a close eye on the retailers listed below and we will update this page with the latest stock updates as we get them.

Also, Halo Infinite multiplayer is free and ready to download for everyone right now, no Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass subscription required. It’s available on Xbox Series consoles, Xbox One and PC.

Xbox One X Hyperspace Special Edition

Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition bundle

There were several Xbox One X special editions, but this one is perhaps our favourite. Released in 2019, the Xbox One X Hyperspace Special Edition is understated, elegant, and also colourful as heck. We love the paint-splattered effect on top of the console. Its beautiful. And were gutted we dont own one.

How Can I Also Sign Up To Receive Emails From Xbox

Were glad you asked because the answer is pretty simple and accessible for everyone. Basically, all you have to do is sign up for Microsoft Stores mailing list.

Just head on over to any page of the Store and wait a few seconds for the pop-up to appear. Once that happens, input your name and email address, your location, and press Sign Up.

Pretty easy right? However, some gamers are saying that there is an extra step worth doing if you would like to improve your chances of receiving this important email.

We cant prove that it works 100%, but gamers that have taken this extra step are reporting that theyve received the message shortly after.

Awesome tip!

Literally minutes after updating my settings, I received the email.

Of course, I didn’t check my inbox until 2 hours later But I was able to place an order and get a confirmation email!

Xbox: Halo Green Special Edition

Weve always loved translucent technology, and in the early 2000s, see-through stuff was at its peak. And so, this Halo Green Special Edition, released in 2004 and bundled with Halo Combat Evolved, was the height of fashion. It wasnt the only translucent Xbox, either. There was also a white Crystal Edition that gave you a glimpse of your consoles innards.

Halo Infinite Xbox Series X And Elite 2 Controller Announced

For starters, the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X comes in a black-grey design along with some golden highlights. There is also a starry pattern on the top half of the console that gives it a more Halo kinda look. As for other design elements, Microsoft replaced the green-colored light at the top of the standard Xbox Series X console with a blue one to match the design. Moreover, the console plays custom startup and function sounds from the Halo universe.

It comes with an Xbox controller that matches the design of the console. Furthermore, the Xbox Series X console will come with a copy of the upcoming Halo Infinite title in the box to complete the set. You can check out the trailer of the Halo-themed Xbox Series X right below.

Now, apart from the custom Xbox Series X set, Microsoft also introduced a special Halo-themed Xbox Elite 2 controller. It comes in a metallic green-colored design along with black ABXY buttons and a gold D-pad making it look like Master Chief. So, if you are not looking to invest in an Xbox Series X console, you should also get the Halo-themed Elite 2 wireless controller.

What’s Included With The Halo Infinite Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X first launched in Nov. 2020, but with ongoing global chip shortages throttling production, purchasing these latest-generation devices has proven challenging. That hasn’t stopped Microsoft from unveiling a limited-edition Halo Infinite-themed Xbox Series X bundle, doubling as the first custom variant of its best Xbox console.

The Halo Infinite Xbox Series X bundle costs $550 for the 1TB console with a custom controller. It swaps out the all-black casing for metallic black and grey, coupled with space-themed detailing and gold accents drawing inspiration from its sci-fi setting. The design references the mysterious Forerunner structures that dominate the Halo landscapes and star-speckled skies, which according to Microsoft, reflect views from the Zeta Halo ring. The device also has a blue-tinted fan, a nod to its iconic AI companion, Cortana, and custom sounds when booting up the console.

The limited-edition Halo Infinite bundle includes the Xbox Series X and an accompanying Xbox wireless controller mirroring the console design. This exclusive gamepad differs from the Xbox Elite Controller, building upon the new Xbox Series X|S controller, featuring a dedicated Share button and improved directional pad. Buyers will also receive a digital code for Halo Infinite an HDMI 2.1-compatible “Ultra High Speed” HDMI cable that supports 4K resolutions up to 120Hz refresh rates.

Keep A Constant Eye On Retailer Retock Schedules

To further increase the odds of you landing one of these limited edition consoles, be sure to monitor restocks for the major distributors.

When we say that, we mean places such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Game Stop, and of course, the Microsoft Store.

As a piece of advice, be thorough this week, 20-27 December, because if you are fast, you just might be able to snatch your perfect Christmas gift.

Indeed, it is hard to score a Halo Infinite Xbox Series X, but not impossible. Its all about perseverance and making the right moves in key moments.

We just wish that there was something that these big companies could do in order to eliminate scalping, but until that happens, if it ever will, we just have to pick up the scraps left by these people.
