All Of The Game Of Thrones Video Games

Blood of Dragons was the first Game of Thrones video game to hit the market in 2007. It was published and developed by and made available only on browsers. Given that it was released four years before the TV show debuted, this video game is based only on the book series by George R. R. Martin.

A Game of Thrones: Genesis was released in 2011, the same year the TV show first aired. The game was published by Focus Home Interactive and developed by Cyanide. It was only available on Windows. The games story takes place over 1,000 years and explored the history of Westeros leading up to the TV show. Players vie for control of the iron throne, which is earned by having enough prestige.

Game of Thrones is a role-action video game that was released a year after Genesis in 2012. It was also published by Focus Home Interactive in conjunction with Atlus and was developed by Cyanide. This was the first Game of Thrones video game to be available on consoles, as it was released for PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows. It was specifically based on both the TV show as well as the first book in George R. R. Martins series, titled A Game of Thrones. The author actually makes an appearance in the game, as he provides the voice to Maester Martin. James Cosmo and Conleth Hill also lend their voices to portray their on-screen characters.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is akin to Game of Thrones in more ways than one. The mountainous region of Skyrim is filled with dragons and magic-users. There aren’t many Game of Thrones video games per se, but there are a variety of them like the hit television series.

You’ll even encounter supernatural creatures like the White Walkers from Game of Thrones. Still, Skyrim is more than a basic medieval fantasy game. It contains dragons, werewolves, giants, vampires, and more to keep you engaged for hours on end.

The Witcher : Wild Hunt

Special Edition Game of Thrones Xbox One Console Revealed

Of course, this list wouldn’t feel complete without The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Witcher has become popular as a medium because of its immersive quests and intriguing story. It spread to television, which is the opposite direction Game of Thrones took.

Themes like politics, war, magic, monsters, and more are why The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is comparable to Game of Thrones. This is a game you can play for over a hundred hours without slowing down.

Age Of Empires Ii: Definitive Edition

While Game of Thrones is set in a fantasy world, Age of Empires is based on history. It pits different civilizations at the peak of their dynasties so that they can engage in a battle of epic proportions. Age of Empires II contains many similarities to Game of Thrones. It may not have dragons, but you can drive a Shelby Cobra by inputting a cheat code.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is a remaster of the original game in gorgeous 4K Ultra HD. It contains a revamped soundtrack and new content.

Xbox Game Pass Adds Game Of Thrones Game And More Today

Game of Thrones Telltale Games Xbox One review

Today, Xbox Game Pass is adding three new games to its libraries on Xbox One and PC. The first of these is World of Horror, which is a brand new release that will only be available on the latter. The second game is also only being added to PC, and it’s Reign: Games of Thrones from Devolver Digital. Lastly, on Xbox One, Microsoft is giving Xbox Game Pass subscribers an older Xbox 360 game that’s ready to break your spirit. That game is none other than Ninja Gaiden II.

As always, it’s unclear how long all three of the games will be available, so if you see something you want to play, it’s always best to jump on it sooner rather than later. Sometimes games hang around for awhile, other times they stick around for a couple months max.

As for Xbox Game Pass, it’s a Netflix-style subscription service that runs at $10 a month. As a subscriber to it — either on PC or Xbox One — you get unlimited access to a vast and evolving library of games, plus other perks like exclusive discounts, the ability to play the occasional game or beta early, and more.

These games are EXTREMELY available today

Game Of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

This episodic graphic adventure game hits the nail on the head. It is a Game of Thrones story that focuses on House Forrester, a family not featured in the television series but that was discussed in A Dance with Dragons.

George R. R. Martin did not write this story, but you might enjoy it anyway for its references to Game of Thrones. The reviews for the game are mixed, but that won’t stop staunch supporters from loving this customizable experience.

    A Plague Tale: Innocence

This story-intensive game is a must-play for fans of Game of Thrones. While Game of Thrones centers around shifts in power, A Plague Tale: Innocence puts you in the most desperate of situations.

You’ll soon find that the world is an unforgiving place as you set forth on a grim journey in A Plague Tale: Innocence.

Is Microsoft Teasing A Game Of Thrones Video Game Or Is It Just A Targaryen Themed Console

If a recent teaser from Xbox is any indication, a new Game of Thrones game could possibly be in development.

Adapting George R.R. Martin’s sweeping epic A Song of Ice and Fire has proven to be quite tough. HBO has only managed to do it over the course of 8 years. Video games are very different story. Sure there’s a rather long-running board game, but actual games? There’s only two: Telltale’s excellent semi-interactive QTE simulator, and the one everyone seems to forget about , Cyanide’s ill-fated Xbox 360 game .

Now another game could be in the works, and Microsoft of all companies might be teasing it. Or possibly teasing it. After last week’s big Game of Thrones episode, the official Xbox Twitter put up a mysterious clip of a Targyen three-headed dragon sigil alongside some scales. It’s not much to go on, but it could indicate a big game reveal as part of Microsoft’s promised E3 2019 explosion.

After Cyanide’s failure it seems no one really wanted to touch the series. The franchise is a perfect setting for a huge sprawling fantasy epic complete with live service hooks. WB Games has a penchant for games like these. But maybe, just maybe, Microsoft is assigning a team of its newly acquired studios to help make the project happen. Maybe Obsidian could be attached in some way, crafting the RPG mechanics.

At the same time there’s a big chance this is just a pipe dream.

    Divinity: Original Sin Ii

Game of Thrones sur Xbox One

From the creators of the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 comes Divinity: Original Sin II. The game is played from the third-person perspective and contains turn-based combat. That doesn’t mean it’s not similar to Game of Thrones.

Divinity: Original Sin II might be the best role-playing game of the decade. Choose between different classes for a truly customizable experience with different outcomes.
